The Vantaa Cricket Club started preparations for the 2023 season already on January 14, and many new players have joined the team and after the last season. VCC participates in T20 Premier League, Division III T20 League and ODI League. In addition, planning for the development of the Rajakylä field is underway. The annual general meeting will be held at the end of 2023.
VCC had about 40 playing members and 100 social members. VCC's home is the Rajakylä sports field, where regional series matches are played during the summer season. VCC also organizes field trainings in Rajakylä. Winter exercises are organized in the indoor hall of Lehtikuuunen school. The main area of operation is Vantaa, but matches are also played in other areas, such as Helsinki, Espoo, Turku and Tampere. In addition, the club organised other entertainment activities for its members in connection with the 2022 season. These activities included playing badminton, volleyball and soccer, socialising and outdoor activities. One of the club's most important activities for the 2022 season was the VCC members' annual general meeting.
All paying and non-paying members were invited to the event, where the club provided food and beverage to attendees. It was a great opportunity to look ahead to the 2023 season in a relaxed way and with a new season, comes a time of refreshing.
